Maintenance Pros is excited to share that it has secured an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for its clients to enhance overall safety through driver assistance.

The machine breaks new ground for the auto shop. It can now provide advanced driving assistance to vehicles by collecting environmental data inside and outside the vehicle with sensors, providing warnings in case of dangerous road conditions, thus elevating driver safety.

The sensors that the machine calibrates around a vehicle can signal the driver with warnings should a lane change be unsafe, driving outside of the lines, or too close to the vehicle in front or behind.

Options for this system include forward-facing cameras, forward-facing radars with flat plates, forward-facing radars with corner cubes, blind spot radars, and surround 360 cameras with floor mats; the safety ADAS brings a driver and its passengers are unparalleled.

It should be no surprise that human error is the leading cause of a majority of accidents across the world.

“Most of the time, auto accidents are preventable. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) found that somewhere between 94 percent and 96 percent of all motor vehicle accidents are caused by some type of human error.”

Now to the good part, this piece of technology, the ADAS, can also integrate other sensing such as adaptive cruise control and braking for almost any vehicle.

Adaptive cruise control will allow the driver to choose a top speed and continue to alter the speed as needed, based on the flow of traffic and braking to slow down or make a complete stop.

“Our shop is proud to offer the ADAS and scan tool package to our clients and other auto repair businesses. Driver safety is a core pillar that Maintenance Pros values and envisions for all drivers that come through our doors. Anyone interested in our ADAS services, don’t hesitate to give us a call,” said Alex Weinberger, Maintenance Pros owner.
